Are you all pleased with the finale?
I personally loved it and felt that LOST couldn't have ended any other way. I felt they ended the story perfectly.

I didn't really know how to feel at first, but after the credits rolled and started to let it digest, I really really loved the ending.

If I can find a decent DVD pack with all six seasons at a reasonable price, I might catch up all the way. I didn't the watch the finale but I did see parts of the recap beforehand and thought it was pretty cool. Too bad it took me until the finale.
The only reason is cuz they cancelled both Heroes and Flashforward, thereby leaving me with no more television to watch and I really don't think I trust the networks anymore to start another series.

(yea-affirmation as in "yay!" vs. yeah-confirmation as in "yes, that is correct". Think before you post!), I hated that ending with a passion, but most of the people here already knew that.
Everyone in the alternate universe, aside from the main cast was fake so they were little more than a waste of time. Plus season 6 had dropped plotlines all over the place, but I’m trying to put my rants on this show behind me. Love seasons 1 to 5, but sadly the show dropped the ball for the final. Though Richard and Desmond’s episodes were at least interesting.
“Magic Light”, what a joke.

So, my sister predicted this back in season one. Does that make her a genius or the ending predictable?

So, my sister predicted this back in season one. Does that make her a genius or the ending predictable? What exactly did she predict?

So, my sister predicted this back in season one. Does that make her a genius or the ending predictable? Considering the flash sideways weren't even introduced until season six, I highly doubt that. And no the infamous "Island is purgatory" theory doesn't count. The Island was real. Now if we're talking about the series ending with Jack's eye closing... I'll give her that one, that seems like a pretty valid guess.

(yea-affirmation as in "yay!" vs. yeah-confirmation as in "yes, that is correct". Think before you post!), when you talk about superman flying and comparing it to stuff like Sayid coming back from the dead never being explained it really is ridiculous.
Horrible final season that didn’t answer any questions and gave us a fan fiction universe in place of flashbacks. What a waste of a season.
just goes to show you the writers just pulled these ideas out of their ass, ha ha ha.

Either way it just comes down to if you enjoyed the series and where it took you, I personally did. I just don't think they pulled it out of their ass. There are just some things they could not explain. There is no logical way for them to explain the magical light because we don't have it existing in our world to begin with. That's like having a show in the 1800's about curing cancer and expecting them to explain how they did it. I can understand some of your points on wanting to know stuff. But if you are wondering about Sayid then that means you are probably wondering about how Locke can walk on the island.
There are just some things in life we will never understand, just like how we don't know how some things can happen in our world.
I guess the only question I have, is outside them not answering the questions are you disappointed with the ending? Like say it ended the same way it just answered a few more questions, would you have been fine with it then or nah?

The big ones for me are
the Sickness never being explained Sayid coming back from the dead Why The Other's can't give birth just wtf is that magic light why is the MIB stuck looking like Locke other then to keep Terry Quinn on the show. just who were the shadow of the statue people and why did they come to the island. why the others captured walt who are these Egyptians on the island
I have a dozen and a half more questions, but I'll leave thigns at that for now.
