Really, he could be anything but Slytherin.
He's artsy fartsy and got good grades for Ravenclaw,
He's got this whole Neville Longbottom unsuspecting badass thing for Gryffindor
And yeah, Hufflepuff he's the loyal and true best friend.

Strange, I always just thought Hufflepuff was just where you put Nice Guys in when you don't have anything else to say about them.
Similarly, Slytherin is where Rat Bastards usually end up. Still think it was kinda crap in how in the end all the Slytherins decide "Screw Hogwarts, I'm going home", though I guess that's also the smart move in the end.
