So, am I the only person who thinks that Sayid is probably going to end up killing himself by the end of this season?! Christ, he's a tortured soul.

www.youtube.com/user/smolesiukI just found this guy today, watched his recap on 5x09, really good stuff. Interesting theories and whatnot. But yeah, poor Sayid. Ben's totally not dead though. If young Ben dies, the timeline will just implode on itself.

Funny how Sayid's attempt to kill Ben probably resulted in him turning evil. That and Ben's f'd up father, lol
btw: young Ben will only be appearing in two more episodes this season from what I've heard.

Actually, I think that Sayid's attempt will be what sent an abused boy with sociopathic tendencies over the edge. Isn't smoke monster showing up?

Actually, I'd think it'd make Ben less inclined to join the Hostiles, since he thought Sayid was one, and shooting him doesn't exactly say "Hey, come join our merry club!!" But who knows, maybe Richard clears it up later. I hope Smokey shows up again, it usually only gets around one or two appearances a season, I want to see more of it.

We'll see. Richard might show up like, "Lol, I don't know that douche,"

Richard will be appearing in 6 more episodes this season and seeing how there’s only 7 more episodes left this season, we should be seeing quite a lot of him.
No lie though, I really want to know what Locke and adult Ben are up to. The past arc has been great but I can’t help but think certain characters are being over looked, “cough Desmond”
On a side note I wonder if Widmore is leading the Others in the Darma timeline and thus the one that chose to kill them.

Oh yeah, Desmond has just disappeared. I'm still holding to my theory that he's going to accidentally sail into an island window and get taken back. He did arrive by boat the first time after all.

They're overlooking Desmond on purpose, it's part of that: "OMG IS PENNY DEAD?!" Thing they've got going on. I don't think I'll be able to watch Lost anymore if they kill Penny. I mean, it would be an amazing plot twist, but I don't think I could take it.
As for the sidenote, Widmore must be around somewhere because he was around when, the 60s? And Ben is a kid in the 70s so...when did 'the incident' occur? Aka, Ben kills off Dharma, lol.

Ben was a young adult when Darma was destroyed and from the looks of things he was leading the Others at the time, but Ben also said in season 4 that killing Darma was not his call.
This could go either one of two ways. Ben could have easily been lying to Hurly when he said destroying Darma was not his idea, I mean he’s lied about nearly everything else, “Widmore killed Locke”, “My mother taught me how to read” excreta.
But lets assume for a minute Ben was indeed telling the truth, that would mean at the time of Darma’s destruction the order to kill them came from someone hirer than Ben: ex Jacob or Widmore. Richard doesn’t seem the type to just randomly kill people without a reason so doubt he was the one to make the call.
I still have my money on the destruction of Darma being a leadership test for Ben to free himself of his past, just like Locke had to kill his father.

So, Hurley pretty much asked the question I've been asking ALL along! Why the hell don't any of these people remember meeting the survivors from their past?!
Okay, Richard said that Ben won't remember and basically becomes the psychopath we know him to be, Russo may have been too far gone by the time survivors showed, I'm not so sure about Richard, he may have remembered them but doesn't that mean that their pictures should be scattered around the old dharma grounds? Unless the Others burned it all.

Richard probably does remember meeting all of them. My guess is he's the one that told the Other's that Locke would one day be their leader.

So I know a lot of people are not too happy with last episode. I am though, Penny lives! *glee* But Desmond is eventually going to have to come back to the island.

I can after wards. My mommy, older female (age difference depending on when she decided to be blessed with you) that cares for one's offspring to become a productive person in society for those that don't know, and I spend quality time watching it together. It's a shame I got her into it just this season so she has no idea what the frig is going on.

Remember in Season one when Locke held up the black and white pieces to the game and it was suppose to mean a lot. So basically those represent Jacob as the white piece and the other guy as the black piece then?

the other guy is probably the monster. At least that was my take on things.

Well another thing I'm wondering is on the Lost board they talk about how they think Christian and Locke are the same person. But when Christian was telling Sun and Lapidus to wait for Locke wasn't Locke with Ben during that time?
*EDIT*
And Jacob didn't come off as someone wanting to kill Rousea's daughter. Maybe that was Widmore all along then.

I don't see why that's hard to believe, this force is obviously omnipresent in some sort of way. Do you mean Russo's daughter?

Post by cloud390 on May 14, 2009 22:50:13 GMT -5
(yea-affirmation as in "yay!" vs. yeah-confirmation as in "yes, that is correct". Think before you post!) I meant Russo's daughter, my bad. Because that means he would be in two places at once that's all. Not saying it is impossible just something that struck me as hard. I really hope Jacob isn't dead. I would also like to point out that whoever plays Sawyer was tubular in his acting in those episode. So next we just have to figure out what is in the guitar case

OMG! So Russo's team didn't go crazy. The guys who came back were possessed by that evil spirit!

(yea-affirmation as in "yay!" vs. yeah-confirmation as in "yes, that is correct". Think before you post!). Also, isn't it strange that when Ben went to go see the monster he fell down into the lower level and Locke just happened to leave to go find a way to get him out...hmmm maybe he is the monster?
