TEKKEN. I SECOND THAT WITH THE FIST OF AN ANGRY GOD.
I love Pirates of Dark Water... but I don't like the idea of a pirate RP (mostly because it's just not my thing).

Streets of Rage doesn't have to happen in the 80s even though that would be incredible awesome. And yes, it is one of the most entertaining beat'em ups Sega ever made and I wish they'd redo it.
I'd love to do Tekken but I'm still trying to decide how we'd go about doing that one.

In a tournament style RP, you could have the tournament (which is yearly, obviously) happen every once and a while. In between are other tournaments building up to that one, help decide rankings and stuff; they aren't mandatory. Between tournaments, story and development.
I dunno, its a really weird format, no idea how it would actually work.
And I used to say they should redo Streets of Rage when the Dreamcast came out. They really need to redo the Mutant League series.

(yea-affirmation as in "yay!" vs. yeah-confirmation as in "yes, that is correct". Think before you post!) Del's right. You would have tournaments and then stuff would happen in between. Like Beyblade basically.

Ahh, a game set in a Beat'Em Up setting. That'd have great potential for fun. Just have it be an amalgam of that stuff (Gangs of Mohawked losers run amok! Are you a bad enough dude to beat the ever-loving shit out of everyone? Take missions from Mayor Badass when he's not out busy bustin' heads).

Nominations are now closed***remember, ideas need to be vouched for by two members to make the poll.
Ideas that have made it to the poll [/u] Insane Asylum RP Man vs Machine (Matrix, Terminator) RP Star Fox RP Animorphs RP Tekken RP (with the fist of an angry god, lawlz!) The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest RP ‘Gang/Streets of Rage’ RP Zombies RP Battle Royale RP[/center] Alright, these are a lot of RPs. Before I make a poll, I want to see if I can narrow it some more. If your RP idea(s) is(are) up there or if a RP idea that you have a strong pull toward is up there, I need you to 'pitch' your idea to us. Basically: 1-2 paragraphs of the rough premise and inner workings of the RP. It doesn't have to be perfection, just give us an idea on where you'd be taking us. After that, lets see all this ideas still hold up. To stay on the poll, idea must be vouched for by three members. Same rules apply, you may vouch for more than 1 RP but it cannot be your own. You can also speak out against an RP but let's keep it civil!

Insane Asylum; Age rage: up for debate. I assumed somewhere in the teenager realm but it could just as easily be young adults. Doctors, Nurses, and Therapist positions would be available for RP as well. St. Valian's Home for the Mentally Impaired. Nestled into the woody hills of the Sierra Mountains, this place is a haven for all your poor, ill children. At least, thats what we were told. The truth is I've seen things there that still wake me up at night weeping. I've tried to tell people whats happening, but none believe. Why would they? I'm insane, remember? Strange things have been happening at St. Valian's. The doctors harbor a secret. The walls have ears. Our numbers are dwindling. I think they're coming for me next. That's why I'm telling you this. You need to get out of here. They won't let you remained untouched for long. Overview: Ages 15-18 in an asylum. Doctors have been secretly experimenting on the patients, as well as committing other dark crimes. This could also be a supernatural RP (doctors, not patients) if anyone is interested. Animorphs; Age range; 13-17 For those who haven't read the books: LINK 55 years have passed since the Animorphs and their friends reigned victorious. Peace slowly began to spread across the earth, as government cover-ups were issued and lives slowly reconstructed. It was thought to be humanity's great triumph over 'evil'. At least, thats what all the news reporters were spewing. Jake seems to think different. One night he stumbles into his old high school, rebuilt and renewed. There, the band (or drama club, or newspaper team; up for debate) has remained late to practice for an upcoming game. They come face to face with the man that society has forgotten, and the gift he has to offer. Now, the group of children have been endowed with the very abilities he and his friends once had, along with a frightening knowledge. The Yeerks are back. And this time, they brought friends. Overview: Kids have the power to change into whatever animal they touch. The 'morph' cannot last longer then two hours, or the user will be stuck in that morph forever. They're fighting against slug aliens bent on taking over earth and farming Humans as host creatures.

Starfox RP (Working title is The Viral Fox project)
Corneria has long since crushed Dr. Ambrose’s multiple attempts to conquer their land and the two planets have learned to coexist in the meantime. Though the war has ended, the Cornerian Senate is never too weary of its threat and has turned to other options to solidate its fortitude.
They call it the “Viral Fox” project. Behind it with the backing of millions to fund the training of the most elite StarFox soldiers and push their training pass all relative limits. They are then injected into the Galaxy teams of three with one mission: Conquer. Concentrating on weak and uninhabited worlds, the Viral Foxes work to expand Corneria’s peaceful reign throughout the Galaxy, even though there are those who grow weary of the Senate’s ambitions behind the Cornerian Emperor.
Overview: Obviously you’ll be an animal probably a basic profile dealing more the skills of combat and piloting.
Tekken RP (Working Title: Enter The Tekken)
Jin Kazama has long defeated his father and grandfather to take control of Mishima Zaibatsu. His devil gene, that he unknowingly inherited from his father, Kazuya, has completely consumed him and has been corrupted by its lust for power. Mishima Zaibatsu reach goes far and wide but lately there have been reports of disturbances in Colombia (generic, sigh. Maybe Peru), where Zaibatsu seems to be building a new base of Headquarters. One by one, Drug Lords and their families are being massacred while the property is seized by this company who rely heavily on their genetically enhanced warriors fused with Kazama’s: “devil gene.” Then came the assassination of the Colombian president and the resurgence of the paramilitary now dawning the Zaibatsu emblem on their uniforms. He has now chosen to hold chosen to hold the legendary, “King of Iron Fist” Tournament that begun with his Great Grandfather, Jinpachi Mishima, in order to drive the rest of the Drug lords out and capsize the government, which in its ruins he will establish as his own. The prize for winning Tekken? The Chair and fortune of Mishima Zaibatsu. Profile: Name, age, height, weight, city/country, fighting style, bio, stats.
Streets of Rage and JQ to come later...

Zombie RP: Death By Them, Become One of Them(Working title)
Story overview: It's been two weeks since the first outbreak. Nobody knows exactly how it started, or where it came from. All they know is that the dead began to rise. A single bite, a single drop of saliva or blood, that's all it takes. Death by them, and become one of them. Some fate huh?
Local police failed at containing it pretty miserably, they didn't know what they were up against. The city's been quarantined, the military isn't making any effort to search for survivors. Their orders are to kill anyone who tries to leave, whether they're one of them, or one of us.
RP overview: You're a survivor living in the midst of a city two weeks into a zombie outbreak. Meet up with other survivors to fight and hide from the zombie horde, while trying to find a way out of the city. Short running RP, it'll have a definite ending to it.

Battle Royale RP: Kill, or be Killed
In the near-future Japan, the nation collapsed, with a large percentage in Unemployment. 10 million people are out of work, and 800,000 students boycotting school. The adults lost confidence and fearing the youth, passed a new law. The Millennium Educational Reform Act, also known as the BR Act.
This leads to the birth of The Program. Officially a military research project, The Program is a means of terrorizing the population, of creating such paranoia as to make organized insurgency impossible. According to the rules, every year, many 3rd year junior high school (14-15 years old) classes are isolated, and each class is required to fight to the death until one student remains.
The American government was approached by Victor Rich, who proposed adopting the BR system. The idea is rejected at first, but Victor persists in giving the government his ideas and variation of The Program. Many heated discussions are made and a conclusion is reached. America's version of The Program is soon put into effect. The difference here? The American BR would be entirely filmed and recorded, to be presented as a new game show. Its controversial actions were especially popular among teenagers, who were more desensitized to the violence unfolding before them than the parents. This was, of course, a guise to hide what the project was really about, to build the perfect soldiers. Winners of the American BR weren't sent home like promised, they were never seen by their loved ones again.
During the first days of the American BR, panic ensued in the country. The longer it progressed, the more resigned to the fact the Americans became. Most started believing that the American Battle Royale was just a game. It was just easier that way. Those who refused to believe, those who hassled the U.S. government for answers... They, too, disappeared, and people knew better than to pry too deep or ask too many questions. --- You are a student of Red Hills High School, one of the latest of two schools to be chosen for America's Battle Royale. You thought you were heading on a fantastic school trip with your friends, before all of you graduated from high school, and moved on with your lives.
But you were very very wrong. You found yourself awaking in the forest, with no recollection of what happened. You had boarded the bus, excited about what was to come, but... What's with this collar around your neck? You try to take it off, but it's strapped to your neck somehow... You find your backpack. Everything is still inside, nothing moved. But there's another bag with you too, you go to open, but then... The announcement starts.
"Welcome students... To America's one and only Battle Royale project."
And in that moment, your whole world turns upside down. You've heard about the reality show, watched it a few times, but stopped when you found it too odd for your tastes. You never thought it would happen to you. But guess what? There's no escaping now. --- There a few rules that force the students into killing each other: - The Collars (These things are waterproof, shockproof, and they aren't removable. Trying to remove them results in the death of the student. If they were to actually get close to removing it, that is. These collars are tamper-proof, and explode when messed with. One of these collars are stuck around every student's neck, and tracks their heart beat, rate of breathing, etc. They also track where each student is on the island) - The Island (The students are stuck on a tropical island. The island was once used as a military base long ago. The program official have restored running water to the island, but not electricity. All vehicles have been removed of fuel and the island stripped of obvious weapons. Escape equals an exploded collar) - 24 Hour Rule (If no student dies in a 24 hour time frame, the collars on every student go off. Everyone dies) - Danger Zones (The island is separated into grids. Every so often, a grid will become a Danger Zone. When announced, every student must evacuate the area, or their collars will explode when the Danger Zone is up. this area remains a Danger Zone for the rest of the game)
Overview: So, you are a 12 grade student of one of two schools forced into the Battle Royale program. There are many rules and dangers that force you into killing your fellow classmates and friends Do you kill? Or be killed?
This would definitely only go for a set amount of time, and would have a sure ending.

Streets of Rage RP
What was once a happy, peaceful, productive city, full of life and activity, has fallen into the hands of a secret criminal syndicate. The leader of the syndicate has somehow managed to keep his identity a secret. The organization soon absorbed the city government-anyone can be had if the price is right-They even had the metropolitan police force in their back pocket. Looting, random violence and destruction are rampant. No one is safe walking the streets, day or night..
As the chaos continued at full strength in this lawless city, their only hope was the police's special attack unit nicknamed the 'Vigilant unit.' Before it could get up and running, the crime syndicate used their pull within the Police force to wipe out the entire unit and bring their base of operation to the ground. Any vigilantes who escaped that fateful day have sense went into hiding. Those who have tried to flee the city were met by the syndicate's barriers and brutally murdered. They have no way of making contact outside the city and those who did not perish or join the syndicate in exchange for their lives know that the only way to survive is to bring down the organization with their bare knuckles.
Notes: Basic profile, fighting style/stats. Upgrades will not be frequent. It is possible to be in the syndicate, be a vigilante or neither. No guns, no special powers. Blunt objects and other devices are allowed.
