If you've never watched X-Games or just curious about it, this is a great little video Outside The Lines did on it. It really personifies what it's all about and why I respect these guys so much. It's such an extreme competition and you'll see why when you see Danny Way and Jake Brown bail HARD. I remember both of those crashes. Danny Way's happened just last year and I remember just being dead quiet when I saw him bail and look like a rag doll hitting pavement. Jake Brown's was the year right before that and I was even quieter from that. I mean you just don't bail so hard your shoes go flying and then stand and walk off.
A side thing about Danny. After he wiped out he got up, did not go in a wheel chair, and he came out from the little doctor's office thing in the back and continued the competition and nailed the silver medal after bailing AGAIN if I remember correctly. I think his friend Bob Burnquist got gold.
It is also extremely weird for me to see Jeremy Lusk's interview and especially when he says something like:
"I'm going to keep pushing it as long as I'm healthy."
I remember the article when it came out last year and seeing the video. Extremely tragic.
