They're only showing the Cardinals and Steelers game tonight. (yea-affirmation as in "yay!" vs. yeah-confirmation as in "yes, that is correct". Think before you post!), (yea-affirmation as in "yay!" vs. yeah-confirmation as in "yes, that is correct". Think before you post!), (yea-affirmation as in "yay!" vs. yeah-confirmation as in "yes, that is correct". Think before you post!) superbowl rematch, ok. This might sound like a homer pick but I'd much rather see the Pats play since we will see the first unit for longer than one series. With the other game they'll do one series and we get to see Mr. USC try to keep his backup job.

Well, I don't watch much football, but I'd presume that they'd show this game to see if the Cardinals can become a 'shoe-in' type team to at least be in contention for the Superbowl each year. From what I understand of the current status of football, the Patriots, with the exception of last year because of Brady getting injured, are always discussed as a Superbowl contender team. But the Cardinals had their first Superbowl just last year, right?

Think before you post!), the first time they ever won their division too. I wouldn't mind too much if either of their teams kept their starters out for past a series. Once Warner goes back to the bench it means we have to watch Leinart fight for his backup job and he hasn't shown anything over the years, so I doubt this year would be different. I enjoy watching the Cardinals when it is their starters because Warner knows how to light up the sky with Fitzgerald and Boldin. Same with the Steelers. I actually enjoy watching the Steelers because of their defense but they won't stay on the field long before backups come in. The reason they are even showing this game is because they are going with the whole approach of "Superbowl rematch" when it won't even be close to that. There are four games playing tonight and we only get to watch one? I'd like to watch the Baltimore and Washington series too. I guess that's my biggest problem, there is only one game to choose to watch tonight.

Damn it Shane, its preseason, who gives a shit. I hate the Pats and am glad they aren't on TV, but there really isn't any reason they should be on over the Super Bowl rematch.

I ended up using this: atdhe.net/ And you guys would care too if your franchise QB was out for a WHOLE season and wanted to know how he looked playing. Considering, even though I know you guys want to disregard this, Carson Palmer had the SAME injury a few years back, remember? (yea-affirmation as in "yay!" vs. yeah-confirmation as in "yes, that is correct". Think before you post!) he hasn't been the same since, which is why I wanted to see that game. You guys are acting unbelievable right now with the hate, and are simply hating on them to hate. Superbowl rematch Del? Dude get out of here with that nonsense, that wasn't a Superbowl rematch and you know it. Keep the starters in and I'm all for watching it. I just didn't like how they had FOUR games to show us and only televised one, so I had to watch the others on that site.

OMG! Shut up, you fanboy XD
You're seriously whining about one televised pre-season match and the only reasoning you have pertains to your blatant favoritism. That would be like me bitching about the Raiders not getting airtime because I want to see if their first string is cohesive or how their awesome draft picks fair in the big leagues. Of course they're going to air the Cardinals and Steelers. God, this is why I hate Patriots fans. One thing doesn’t go their way and it’s like the world ends.
Sometimes I turn on the TV and I see a Yankees game when I'd much rather watch the Athletics. I'm going to write a strongly worded letter to ESPN!

No this isn't a homer thing. I wanted to see the Cowboys game too, to see how the Cowboys would do without T.O. Just like I was happy to see the Bills game to see how T.O. would do with Edwards. And I wanted to see the Raiders to see how McFadden and Russel would do along with how Tom Cable was as a coach.
I like watching Pre-Season games that do mean something. I wanted to see how Cambell would do with the Redskins seeing as he is on the hot seat. And this is why I hate other fans that think I only want to watch Boston teams, which couldn't be more wrong, because I'm a much bigger sports fan than you realize. PLUS, I need to see the gems I could pick up in Fantasy Football to win. (yea-affirmation as in "yay!" vs. yeah-confirmation as in "yes, that is correct". Think before you post!), I'm mad I didn't get to see Brady play and how well he would play on t.v. (I did on that site though) but I was more mad we only had ONE game we could choose for on t.v. to begin with.
I would've been complaining if they didn't show the Phillies game two days ago to see how Pedro would do.
You guys must have just looked for anything Boston related and skimmed over my whole posts or you guys would have seen:
"There are four games playing tonight and we only get to watch one? I'd like to watch the Baltimore and Washington series too. I guess that's my biggest problem, there is only one game to choose to watch tonight."

LOL!! Yeah, maybe you'd love to see all those other teams play and if you'd mentioned that in the beginning, I might have agreed (but not really because televising a Superbowl rematch is just flat out the logical thing to do, dude). But let's be real, that was not your priority by any means. None of that stuff even came up in your introduction. Oh wait, but the Patriots did and for reasons that no one would even care about unless they actually liked them. Soooooooooooo eff the Patriots and all of their self centered, whiny, bitch monkey fans XD. No offense, Shane! Well maybe a little XP

Did you even watch the game? It was terrible. I turned it off after the third quarter, it was 3-3! And that wasn't because of defense. I'm not arguing the fact that I'd rather watch Pats games over anyone else, it's my team I root for, of course I want to watch them over everyone else. The problem I had was that the NFL showed one and only one game. If I could watch the Pats one over the others then (yea-affirmation as in "yay!" vs. yeah-confirmation as in "yes, that is correct". Think before you post!) I would watch it, but I'm just angry the NFL only showed one game, that's all. But I don't like arguing and don't want to be the reason for an argument. So we will just agree to disagree on the subject, that is all. Did anyone catch some of the Eagles game at all? They got this kid in for rb that is seriously good. His last name started with an M and it was like McCoy or something. The line was alright for the Eagles but it was weird and like stopped working of all a sudden.

There is no such thing a good freaking game, because the starters don't play and protecting yourself against injuries is more important than winning. Nobody really cares about winning, ESPECIALLY in week 1 of the preseason. So it is ridiculous to try and act like one game was gonna be better than the other. And sure you wanna see how Brady did, for the 5 minutes of pseudo-football he was in. But guess what? EVERY TEAM HAD CHANGES MADE! You know how, for months and months, nobody plays football? And instead, all they do is train and make personnel changes and draft players? They have a name for it...um...onseason? Outseason? I dunno, something. But every team does it. Every team drafts and makes coaching changes and has players improve or get older and has injuries and free agent signings. It is logical for you to care about your team's more than other teams.' It is illogical to expect the NFL to pander to the Pats fans more than they already do.

It is illogical to expect the NFL to pander to the Pats fans more than they already do. He played a whole half. And you are making my point Del, I wanted to see these changes for the other teams too. I wanted to see Colt Brennen play again. I wanted to see Jim Zorn as his second year coach. I wanted to see how Tom Cable operated. I wanted to see Joe Flacco. I disagree with the point of you saying no one cares about winning. Coaches care, they coach to win and the players try to make the team play to win. Tennessee did a fake punt to score. Like tonight, there are four games on but only the Rams game is being shown. I will say though, they are showing the games on NFL network from last night all day which is nice. It's just, there is 2 espn channels. ESPN is showing the Little League World Series at 7 and ESPN 2 I think is just doing sportscenter and ESPN news which is what they usually do, I just wish NFL would put a game on ESPN 2 tonight also.

Its probably got to do with money and wanting to get people to get NFL network or use whatever online features they. They make plenty off TV revenue during the year.
And Tenn did a fake punt exactly because they DONT care. If they screw it up, no biggie, all it'll cost them is a preseason possession. Coaches rarely take those risks during the season.
