Is writing introductions for stories hard for anyone else? Like some stories I can start fine, those are few and far in between, but for the most part I just sit there dumbfounded on where to start. Like I'll read the intro to Red Dragon and it starts with the character introducing how he met Hannibal, alright tubular*. I read the intro to The Bourne Identity, it talks about how they pull Jason out of the water, again, tubular*. No matter how many stories I read, I just can't seem to get up over the hump in introductions to stories. Rp posts are different to me seeing as everyone already has an idea of the atmosphere and plot and everything from the premise already read, but with a story you have to try to set it all up. I don't know, I didn't know if any of you had anything you guys did to start a story.
*Note, sorry this turned more into a rant, but I really don't know what to do for intro's. I mean I've read like twenty novels this summer and it still seems to be as clear as mud as it did before.

For me, I let the intro flow. I don't try to force it out. I find a starting point that I want, or just start describing something, and it flows out.
