I thought it would be fun to put what Drake thought of the closest people around him since, yes, I am bored. So here we go.
My family mocked and despised mutants for generations. Or at least that’s what my parents taught me. Turns out they lied and just wanted to keep their image in a mutant hating world.
I found my mutant powers when I was thirteen. My sister Fayth had just turned twelve and little did I know, she too was a mutant. I didn’t find this out until three years later when she blasted a hole into her wall. My parents were disgusted at the mutant in their family so they decided to kick her out. I would not have this however and revealed my powers as well.
My Uncle Leo, who had no children, loved us like his own and moved us in with him in London, where I had a hand in one of the biggest tragedies ever recorded, but no one here will learn that. After a couple of months we were invited to New Haven Academy, where I met the most amazing people to ever come into my life, and where my destiny began.
I am Drake Shadows: The Shadow Stalker.
Even though the world is dark and filled with people who hate us, I can see tomorrow as a brighter day, as can my loved ones.
Fayth Shadows: My sister. She is the reason I keep fighting. I couldn’t bear the day that I wasn’t be there to help her, and I plan on that never happening.
Calvin Peters: I’ve only known Calvin for a few months, and already he is the best friend I could ever ask for. Despite the very averageness about him, he is much more. A little bit of everyone some would say. I can see it in his face that he will do nothing but good.
Chloe Sorel: Chloe is beautiful, smart, strong…everything an average person would kill for. Chloe is perfect. She doesn’t act like she’s perfect, and that makes her even more perfect.
Jin Lapkin: I wasn’t there to help Jin through all the tragedy in his life. But if I was, he probably wouldn’t be the strong-hearted man he is today. I suppose I’ve never met pain like Jin has, but I want him to know this doesn’t mean we’re not the alike.
Angelique Martin: Angelique’s parents have spoiled and sheltered this little girl into a girl who can hit your nerves the wrong way almost 97% of the time. She has a lot more enemies than friends, but those of us that are her friends see much more than the spoiled, sheltered little girl; we see a sweet, innocent mind that, well, wants it her way.
Oto Fenton: Oto likes to think of himself as a plant enforcer. He’s constantly running around telling everyone to be nice to the trees and such. We fought once in a mission. He trapped me in a plant and I trapped him in a shadow. Now we’re friends. I often feel the urge that we need to fight again.
Avery Tychus: Avery is a strange one. She’s the one person I can talk to about anything and not feel regret or worry that she will tell anyone. We often engage in contests of random information. She sometimes lets me win.
Robbie Palmer: I don’t know him well yet, but I’ve heard things about him that leads me to believe that I need to.
We’ve all experienced some terrible things together, but we’ve always came out of it. We’re not always on top, but we find our ways eventually. We’ve been changed, every single one of us. Some have physically, some emotionally. But we endure.
So next time you hear evil scream into the night and see the buildings around you collapse, don’t fear. It’s not the end of the world until none of the heroes are left standing. And that my friend, will never happen. Not if we can help it.
