On my spare time, I thought of an idea for an RP based off a game series known as "Overlord" (though I did take a few liberties).
The people will assume a role in the "Evil" faction, serving as part of the Minion Empire. While the games usually have a singular "Overlord" figure, in this particular setting the power of the Dark Domain has Fractured, so that the potential of evil can't all be focused in a single individual. Instead it permeates the land, influencing certain individuals and "Infecting" them with Dark Potential.
The main antagonist? An Elven Empire that has become the dominant force of "Good" in the setting. Within the world everything is utopian and nature-loving and the people are all happy. Of course by 'People' they mean the Elves, who have used their natural superiority to rule over the "Plain" humans. Heroes and adventurers are commonplace, either fortune-seeking warriors or government-issued agents working to exterminate the last "impurities" of the land. Besides that there are also other factors such as the local bandits, angry magically-mutated beasts and other power-hungry upstarts seeking to start their own evil reign.
The individual "Dark Generals" begin with a single Artifact of Doom as their weapon as well as choosing a single spell from a as-of-yet unorganized list as a starter. Besides that however they're granted the ability to create an "Abomination" fueled by lifeforce unique to each individual. While they may initially start off as decent assist creatures (depending on how the player designs them) as progress is made they can be made more powerful via pumping them with more lifeforce, depending on which kind is used will change the beast to different paths (a physical brute of destruction or a magical beast that rains horrible delicious pain upon those that their master commands).
I've worked out an idea for what a profile would probably look like, but I'd just leave up this very basic synopsis here (a few details are still being thought about) before I post up the Statistics part of it.
