Okay so their plans for Spiderman 4 villains will be Carnage and The Lizard. Okay so the Doctor that turns into the lizard is left with a small sample of the symbiote in 3. He is going to use Peter's blood to try and grow his arm back. In the process mutating him into the Lizard. One villain down. Okay what about Carnage? Well I expect them to take the "Lets mix in the Ultimate comics!" so some of Peter's blood will get on the symbiote and mutate it into the carnage symbiote. The Carnage symbiote will look for a host of course and find the cereal killer Cletus Kasedy. Two villains down. Venom is more than likely not dead by reasons I do not feel like going into.
There you have it. If the movie happens, this is more than likely how it will happen.

Carnage is one of the worst fucking villains ever. Every comic book fan knows this.

Yeah, but it has been stated that those are sadly enough the villains.

Well, for non-comic fans, lol, I think just a structural flaw in Spider-Man 3 didn't have to do with just the poorly handled villains, but also that the Mary Jane-Peter subplot was basically just a huge retread of Spider-Man 2 with more emo and angst thrown in. The villains' subsequently bad appearances and motivations could almost be contributed to their lack of screen time to accommodate the crappy love writing and the fact that the only villain with any actual development over the trilogy (Harry) was basically made into a cliche mustache twirling villain that was there for the love triangle.
I also heard Kraven the Hunter might be in Spidey 4, but I read that a while ago. Also, Man-Spider and the Neogenic Nightmare subplot.

Carnage was a terrible villain, though >_>
One thing that annoyed me about Spiderman 3 was that there were, like, 3 villains. 2 is all the Christopher Nolan Batman movies needed, and usually there would be a major villain (Joker, you could make a pretty good case for either Scarecrow or Ra's in the first one) and one lesser villain (Two-Face). 3 is waaaay too much for them to be developed properly. Do you know what other superhero movie had 3 villains?
Batman and Robin. (Bane, Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze)
I rest my case.

Hey, I heard that the villains would be the Black Cat and John Malkovitch as the vulture. Those have been the most I've heard, Lizard and Carnage I didn't even know about until now and I think the director even said he felt like Black Cat would be the way to go.

I remember it was said that the director didn't really want Venom in the first place, but was forced to put him in due to the Executive Bigwigs telling him so. In the end he ended up just putting him in with a poor romance story.
I was sorta thinking that for a later movie The Shocker appears as sorta a minor villain/Butt Monkey who perpetually gets the wrench from Peter.

I just heard the news today that the director and Tobey Maguire dropped out from the movie, so I highly doubt there'll be any movie now. Feel free to prove me wrong, the news on the radio isn't always the most reliable source.

Yeah, I guess there's talk of a reboot too.
Good riddance lol. Felicia Hardy as the Vulturess? xD That's just insulting

Not sure how I feel about a reboot. I guess there's stuff that can improve, obviously, but reboot is just so...lol Jake Gyllenhaal.

The only good reboots that I can think of off the top of my head are Batman Begins and Casino Royale.
And Spiderman 4 will almost definitely not be as good as either of those.

I don't think Jake Gyllenhaal would make a bad Peter, he's got the same air as McGuire and really as far as acting goes they're pretty par the course. Get a solid director and maybe you could make something out of it.
These are hopes shooting for the stars though, it obviously could flops the tops... or it could be something as good as the Batman (to which we all must concede improved greatly from Begins to Dark Knight)

Miraculously, Cracked writer Daniel O'Brien wrote a script for Spiderman 4 a couple of days after this thread was posted. We can only hope that the movie will be at least half as GRITTY and MATURE. www.cracked.com/blog/my-spider-man-4-script
